Speaker
Toshi Asaba Freewill, Inc. Founder & CEO

At age 15, he traveled alone to the United States for high school. By 19, he had backpacked through approximately 45 countries. At 24, he started a trading business in Europe. After working across North America, Asia, and the EU in various industries, he returned to Japan at 28 and gained experience as a systems engineer in both Japanese and foreign companies. After spending about 7 years as an IT consultant at a domestic IT company, he founded "Freewill, Inc." with 1 million yen of his own capital to realize a concept he had been nurturing since he was 19.
The name "FREEWILL" embodies his hope that all people can live lives where they can freely choose their path with their own free will. Currently, the organization has grown to approximately 170 people based on ICT business, forming a global team with employees from around the world. Even 10 years ago, this organization emphasized social impact, advocating that benefiting society as a whole and maintaining the global environment are essential elements for future society, making "social contribution" its primary focus.
To help people realize their aspirations, the company shares profits and resources with all stakeholders, achieving "mutual symbiosis." He believes that this challenge, which no one else is undertaking, will become the new "model" of business in the not-too-distant future. ICT is essential for expanding business while maintaining the global environment. It is possible to create a society where people can realize what they want to do with "free will." That's why he has become the originator of various services.
With the ideal of "enabling people to live as human beings," he has consistently maintained management that is conscious of the future form of organization since around 2013 when the company was established, breaking away from the conventional capitalist model of working for shareholders. So far, he has proposed multiple original services including tells market, crowdfunding, and Vibes.media. He is also active as a creator, handling video production, serving as executive producer and director, and writing scripts and stories. In the writing field, he is active as a reporter and editor-in-chief.
