Introduction

Shibuya Web3 University is a Shibuya-based community focused on Web3 that emphasizes "connecting, learning, discovering, and creating." We aim to collaboratively build a healthy and creative space that is open to the world. This code of conduct outlines the attitudes and manners we value within our community. It applies to all those involved with Shibuya Web3 University, including general participants, Create course members, other members, speakers, advisors, and advisor companies.

Most of our community participants already interact with mutual respect and consideration. This code of conduct puts that goodwill culture into words. We ask for your understanding and cooperation to maintain a creative environment where everyone can participate with peace of mind.

Shibuya Web3 University operates based on a simple philosophy: "Business is not the goal, but a means to create a better future." We aim to utilize Web3 technology and business to bring positive change to society. In this process, we value respecting each person's humanity and individuality and creating an atmosphere where people can act freely and creatively. By sharing these values, we inspire each other, learn and grow together through cooperation, and generate innovation for the future.

Shibuya Web3 University is a community of people with diverse backgrounds and values. Let's positively embrace our different cultures, ways of thinking, and experiences as opportunities to learn new perspectives. Everyone has the right to be equally respected regardless of nationality, race, gender (including gender identity), sexual orientation, age, religion, or disability. Please welcome creativity born from diversity rather than judging people by superficial aspects like appearance, clothing, or titles. Even when opinions differ, maintain an attitude of understanding the other person's position and getting to know each other through dialogue.

Act With Integrity and Build Mutual Trust

In our community, we value trust and sincerity over formality. Strive to do what you say and keep your promises. Responsible behavior in small matters, such as punctuality at events and online responses, builds trust with others. If plans change or problems arise, communicate early and explain frankly. In discussions and projects, exchange opinions constructively and listen to others' views. Value mutual respect and sincere communication over dress, hairstyle, or titles, and interact with a professional and considerate attitude.

Maintain a Safe Environment Free From Harassment

To ensure everyone can participate with peace of mind, no harassment or discrimination is tolerated. Refrain from threatening or insulting others or attacking someone based on personal attributes. For example, the following troublesome behaviors are not permitted in our community.
 

• Discriminating against or insulting others based on specific attributes (gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, nationality, race, religion, disability, appearance, etc.)

• Intimidating others through excessive criticism or violent language

• Making obscene or inappropriate sexual remarks or jokes

• Physical contact without consent or persistent solicitation

• Persistent harassment or defamation, whether online or offline, or disruption of presentations and events
   

These actions are not allowed. If you receive feedback that your behavior has made someone uncomfortable, accept it sincerely and stop immediately. If you witness or experience harassment or discriminatory behavior, please don't hesitate to contact the community management team. We will verify the facts and take appropriate action, such as issuing warnings or refusing participation, as necessary. We ask for your cooperation in protecting the safety and trust of the entire community.

At Shibuya Web3 University, we welcome free thinking and creativity above all. Value new ideas, questions, and challenges, and actively support each other's creative attempts. We want to foster a culture that welcomes beginners' questions and innovative proposals.
